abstract PURPOSE: To prepare naphthoquinone pigment and other useful materals, in large quantities, efficiently, by the callus culture of a plant belonging to Boraginaceae family in a liquid medium containing cellulosic fiber. n CONSTITUTION: A liquid medium such as Linsmeier-Skoog medium, etc. is added with about 1W25g, pref. about 10W15g, based on 1l of the medium,of cellulosic fibers such as bleached cotton yarn, absorbent cotton, gauze, filter paper, etc., and if necessary, liquid paraffin and/or oil or fat.
