titleOfInvention Herbicide for rice paddy
abstract PURPOSE: The titled herbicide that contains a combination of 1,3-dimethyl-4-(2,4- dichlorobenzoyl)-5-phenacyloxypyrazole and a specific ethyl dithiophosphate as active ingredients, thus developing excellent synergism. n CONSTITUTION: 1,3-Dimethyl-4-(2,4-dichlorobenzoyl)-5-phenacyloxypyrazole of formula I, which shows a little insufficient effect against annual weeds but high effect against prennial weeds by absorption through plumules and roots from the period before germination to immediately after germination, is combined with 0,0-diisopropyl-S-[2-(banzenesulfonamide)-ethyldithiophosphate], which can characteristically kill annual weeds such as Livid Amaranth or umbrella sedges, at a weight ratio of 0.5W1.5 the compound of formula II to that of formula I. The resultant herbicide shows no injure to rice plant and keeps its effect for a long period from before rice-planting to the growing season. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
