abstract | PURPOSE: To herbicide for rice paddy that contains a combination of 1,3-dimethyl- 4-(2,4-dichlorobenzoyl)-5-phenacyloxypyrazole and a specific nitrophenol ether as active ingredients, thus developing outstanding synergism. n CONSTITUTION: 1,3-Dimethyl-4-( 2,4-dichlorobenzoyl )-5-phenacyloxypyrazole of formula I, which shows a little insufficient effect against annual weeds but high effect against prennial weeds by absorption through plumules and roots from the period before the germination of weeds to immediately after germination, is combined with 2,4-dichlorophenyl-3'-methoxycarbonyl-4'-nitrophenyl ether of formula II, which show stable effect against annual weeds, especially broad leaf plants at a weight ratio of 0.5W1.5 the compound of formula II to that of formula I as active ingredients. The resultant agent causes no injury to rice plant and shows sufficient effect by treating with it at any time for a long period from the rice-planting to growing season. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio |
