titleOfInvention Controlling agent against adhesion of marine animal
abstract PURPOSE: The titled controlling agent, containing hydrogen peroxide and hydroxylamine or a water-soluble salt thereof as active constituents, and useful for controlling the attaching of marine animals economically and efficiently without causing problems of offensive smells operational stability, pollution, etc. n CONSTITUTION: A controlling agent against attaching containing hydrogen peroxide and hydroxylamine or a water-soluble salt thereof, preferably hydroxylamine sulfate or hydrochloride, as active constituents. The hydrogen peroxide used includes a substance capable of generating the hydrogen peroxide in the presence of seawater in addition to the hydrogen peroxide, e.g. carbonate, borate or urea adduct of the hydrogen peroxide or an alkaline metallic peroxide. The agent may be added to a seawater system by preliminarily mixing and preparing both drugs or adding both separately. The amounts of the components are preferably as follows: The concentration of the hydrogen peroxide is preferably 0.1W10ppm, and that of the hydroxylamine is 0.1W5ppm in the seawater system. The agent may be added to the seawater system for 0.5W24hr per day. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
