titleOfInvention | Foaming vinyl chloride resin composition |
abstract | PURPOSE: The titled composition that is made by adding a thermal decomposition type foaming agent and an acrylic resin composition to a vinyl chloride resin with a specific pore volume, impregnated with an aliphatic hydrocarbon, thus giving highly foamed products with uniformly fine foam structure. n CONSTITUTION: To 100pts.wt. of a vinyl chloride resin that is made by impregnating a vinyl chloride polymer of less than 0.2ml/g. of the polymer with at least one selected from aliphatic hydrocarbons and halogenated hydrocarbons, boiling at lower than 90°C and acting as a foaming agent, by more than 1wt% (preferably a copolymer with vinyl acetate), and added 0.01W10pts. of a thermal decomposition type foaming agent for increasing foaming degree and cell uniformity such as azodicarboxylic acid amide and 0.5W30pts. of an acrylic resin for accelerating resin gelation and holding the foamed gas, preferably polymethyl methacrylate and they are mixed at a relatively low temperature to prevent the dissipation of the foaming agent. The resultant composition is heated, foamed and molded according to known methods. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio |
