titleOfInvention Production of polyester fiber
abstract PURPOSE: After a specific phosphorus compound is added, the melt spinning is effected and the fiber is treated with an aqueous alkali solution to produce the titled fiber having fine pores and showing deep color tone, when colored. n CONSTITUTION: A polyester made from the acid component mainly consisting of terephthalic acid and the glycol component mainly consisting of 2W6C alkylene glycol is combined with 0.3W25mol% of a phosphorus compound of the formula [R is monovalent organic group; X is hydroxyl, OR' (R' is monovalent organic group), OM', monovalent organic group; M, M' is alkaline earth metal; (n) is 0, 1] such as trimethyl phosphate and the mixture is melt spun. The resultant fiber is treated with an alkali aqueous solution to elute 2W50wt% of the fiber so that in the cross section of the fiber, fine pores of 0.1W0.3 micron diameter at the peak of the diameter distribution, oriented in the fiber-axis direction and partially connecting with one another, are disperesed in the range from the periphery to the 0.5 micron inside. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
