abstract | PURPOSE: To produce a low-shrinkage rubber foam, by heating a rubber sheet, which is prepared from a foamable raw material contg. a thermoplastic synthetic resin, under pressure in a closed mold. n CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. natural or synthetic rubber, 10W60pts.wt. thermoplastic synthetic resion (e.g. polyethylene or polyvinyl chloride), not more than 15pts.wt. blowing agent (e.g. azodicarbon amide 1W5ptw.wt. crosslinking agent (e.g. sulfur or dicumyl peroxide), a colorant and other additives are blend together and kneaded by a roller etc. to produce a raw rubber sheet, which is then placed in a split mold. The mold is kept at 130W200°C and at 100W170kg/m 2 for 7W15min to effect expansion and crosslinking. Then the mold is opened to obtain a low-shrinkage rubber foam. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio |
