titleOfInvention 4,4-disubstituted-1-sulfo-2-oxoazetidine derivative and its preparation
abstract NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formulaI(R and R 0 are organic residue linked to the carbon atom; R 1 is amino group which may be acylated or protected; X is H or methoxyl). n EXAMPLE: Sodium 3-[2-(2-chloroacetamidothiazol-4-yl)-(Z)-2-methoxyiminoacetamido]-4,4-dimethyl-2-oxoazetidine-1-sulfonate. n USE: Useful as a remedy for bacterial infection of men and domestic animals having the activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and also as a germicide. n PROCESS: A compound of formula II is sulfonated with acetic anhydride or a reactive derivative thereof at 10W60°C to give the compound of formulaI. The compound of formula II is prepared by using a 2-oxoazetidine of formula VI as a starting raw material according to the reaction formulas. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
