NEW MATERIAL:An amiosulfonylhalogenobenzoic acid derivative shown by the formulaI(X and Y are Cl, Br, H, amino, or nitro; R 1 is H, or lower alkyl; R 2 is H, amino, lowr alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, etc.). n EXAMPLE: 5-Aminosulfonyl-2,4-dichlorobenzoic acid. n USE: A virucide. n PROCESS: A halogenobenzoic acid is heated in chlorosulfonic acid to give chlorosulfonylbenzoic acid, which is reacted with an amine shown by the formula II at room temperature, and, if necessary, under heating, in a solvent such as water, dioxane THF, etc. in the presence of a deoxidizer (e.g., TEA) or with the amine shown by the formula II itself as the deoxidizer, to give a compound shown by the formulaI. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio |
