titleOfInvention Method of treating aqueous solution containing organic acid
abstract PURPOSE: To extract organic acid from an aqueous solution containing the organic acid effectively, to separate the extract liquid from the treated aqueous solution completely in a short time, and to remove the organic acid completely, by contacting the aqueous solution with an extractant comprising an anion exchange material having specific skeleton structure. n CONSTITUTION: An aqueous solution containing an organic acid having SO 3 H group and/or COOH group in the molecule, e.g. benzenesulfonic acid, cetyl alcohol, etc. is extracted with an extractant comprising an anion exchange material having pyridine skeleton structure and diluted with a water-insoluble organic solvent such as benzene, petroleum ether, etc. or an undiluted water-insoluble anion exchange material having pyridine skeleton structure. The organic acid can be extracted and removed by the process. The extractant is preferably a mixture of 8W50% anion exchange material having pyridine skeleton structure and 92W50% water-insoluble organic solvent. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
