titleOfInvention Preparation of polyimide separation film
abstract PURPOSE: To prepare a film having stable gas separation performance in good reproducibility, by a method wherein the thin film of an aromatic polyamic acid solution is coagulated by water or a lower alcohol-containing liquid and the amide-acid bond of the coagulated film is subjected to imide-cyclization by heating. n CONSTITUTION: An aromatic polyamic acid obtained by polymerizing an aromatic tetracarboxylic acid component and an aromatic diamine component in an org. polar solvent at 120°C or below is dissolved in an org. polar solvent to prepare a film forming solution and the resulting solution is formed into a thin film at a temp. of about 100°C or below not advancing an imide forming reaction excessively and the obtained film is coagulated by contacting the same with water or a liquid solvent containing 60vol% or more lower alcohol. The formed coagulated film is dried and heated to 100W300°C to subject the amide- acid bond in the polymer to imide-cyclization completely to prepare a polyimide film. This film is used over a wide temp. range from room temp. to 200°C and has a high hydrogen permeating speed. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
