abstract PURPOSE:A composition, consisting of a specific polyethylene terephthalate, a crystal nucleating agent and a specific polycyclic compound, e.g. a hydrocarbon, and capable of exhibiting improved moldability at a low mold temperature and giving a molded article having improved physical properties, e.g. dimensional stability. CONSTITUTION:A polyester composition, consisting of (A) a polyethylene terephthalate having an intrinsic viscosity >=0.4, (B) 0.2-5wt% crystal nucleating agent and (C) 1-10wt% compound selected from 9-25C hydrocarbon polycyclic compounds having a cyclic skeleton, 12-25C hydrocarbon polycyclic compounds in which two or more aromatic hydrocarbon rings are linked with direct bonds and 13-25C hydrocarbon polycyclic compounds in which two or more aromatic hydrocarbon rings are linked with hydrocarbon groups essentially. A compound expressed by formulaIor II (M and M' are alkali metal; n and m are 1 or 2), preferably disodium p-phenolsulfonate, is used as the component (B).
