titleOfInvention Preparation of copolymerized polyester
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a copolymerized polyester having rigidity, high heat resistance, and improved color tone efficiently, by esterifying a specific aromatic dicarboxylic acid component with an alkylene glycol, followed by polycondensation. n CONSTITUTION: (A) An aromatic dicarboxylic acid component comprising 25W 80mol% 4,4'-diphenyldicarboxylic acid having an average longer diameter of particle of ≥0.8μ is esterified with (B) an alkylene glycol (preferably ethylene glycol), and this esterified substance is subjected to polycondensation to give the desired polyester. The diphenylcarboxylic acid, for example, is preferably obtained by dissolving 4,4'-diphenyl-carboxylic acid in dimethyl sulfoxide, followed by purifying it through recrystallization, etc. Terephthalic acid, etc. is preferable as another acid component of the component A, etc. n EFFECT: Slurry properties are improved, and esterification can be carried out in a short time stably and efficiently. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
