abstract |
PURPOSE: The Michael addition reaction between a thiol and an unsaturated ketone is conducted in the presence of a specific diaminoalcohol under stirring to produce the titled compound used as a insecticide or fungicide for agricultural products and soil through simple operations in high selectivity. n CONSTITUTION: The Michael addition reaction between an unsaturated ketone of formulaIand a thiol of formula II is carried out in the presence of a catalyst of (2S,4S)-2-(anilinomethyl)-1-ethyl-4-hydroxyproline at -40Wroom temperature, preferably about -5°C in a solvent such as toluene to produce optically active β-arylthio or β-alkylthioketone of formula IV.
