abstract | PURPOSE:To provide the titled material for high-speed recording which has excellent resistance to water and moisture, by a method wherein a heat-sensitive color-forming layer comprised of a specified fluoran compound and an acidic substance containing a hydroxyphenol ether compound is provided on a base. CONSTITUTION:A liquid coating material for producing a heat-sensitive color- forming layer is obtained by mixing (A) 3-(di-n-butylamino)-7-(o-chloroanilino) fluoran of formulaI, (B) an acidic substance containing 10-100wt%, preferably 30-100wt% (based on the total weight of the acidic substance) bis[p-hydroxy- m-(tert-butyl)-o-methylphenyl]thioether of formula II and, if required, (C) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of compounds of formula III (where R1 is 1-30 C alkyl; A is H, -CO2R' wherein R' is 1-10 C alkyl) (for example, N-stearylbenzamide) and componds of formula IV (where each of R3 and R4 is 1-10 C alkyl), for example,[4,5-epoxy-1,2-bis(stearyloxycarbonyl) cyclohexane]. The coating material is coated on the base and is dried to obtain the objective recording material. |
