abstract PURPOSE: The titled composition, prepared by incorporating a specific fine glass powder with a transparent synthetic resin, having improved transparency, rigidity and processing speed, without deteriorating the characteristics of the resin, suitable for food packaging, and capable of being easily incinerated. n CONSTITUTION: A synthetic resin material prepared by kneading a transparent synthetic resin, e.g. general-purpose thermoplastic resin, with 26W90wt% fine glass powder, obtained by melting an oxide, and containing 5W80mol% silicon dioxide, 1W50mol% alkali metallic oxide, 0W40mol% alkaline earth metallic oxide and 0W50mol% oxides selected from Al 2 O 3 , B 2 O 3 , P 2 O 5 , ZnO, TiO 2 and Bi 2 O 3 , and having a particle diameter ≤100μ.
