Polyester fiber structure with improved color |
abstract |
PURPOSE: The titled structure in which polyester fiber containing a specific substance is treated with an alkali to form fine pores and covered with a polymer of low refractive index after dyed, thus showing deep and bright color and satisfactorily withstanding the discoloration caused by friction. n CONSTITUTION: Orthophosphoric acid (a) in an amount of 0.3W5mol% based on the dicarboxylic acid component and a manganese compound and/or a magnesium compound (b) in an amount of 1.2W2 times the molar quantity of the orthophosphoric acid are added to a polyester and they are melt spun into fiber. Then, the fiber is treated with an alkali to form a number of fine pores. After dyed, the pored polyester fiber is coated with a polymer of lower refractive index than that of the polyester fiber on the surface. The fine pores are arranged in the fiber axis direction and their vertical width to the fiber axis is 0.1W0.3 microns and their length along the axis is 0.1W5microns at the maximum of the frequency distribution. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio |
