abstract PURPOSE: To provide a novel complex oxyalkoxide composed of specific constituent units, and useful for the preparation of an alkaline earth metal titanate which can be used as a raw material of electronic components, by simple and economical means. n CONSTITUTION: The objective oxyalkoxide containing the unit of formula MTiO 2 (OR) 2 (M is alkaline earth metal; R is univalent hydrocarbon group) as a constituent unit is obtained by reacting the titanium alkoxide of formula Tr(OR) 4 (e.g. tetraisopropoxide) with preferably anhydrous alkaline earth metal hydroxide[e.g. Ba(OH) 2 ]in the absence of an organic solvent or in the presence of a nonpolar organic solvent in an inert gas atmosphere such as N 2 gas atmosphere at 50W300°C, preferably 100W250°C. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
