titleOfInvention Manufacture of projecting screen
abstract PURPOSE:To provide a simple manufacturing method for a projecting screen without necessity of the step of evacuating in vacuum by holding a metal foil in a mold to form a space between upper and lower molds and filling foamable plastic in the space formed berween the upper mold and the foil. CONSTITUTION:An aluminum foil 1 is interposed fixedly between an upper mold 9 and a lower mold 10. At this time, the foil 1 is installed so as to form a space not only between the mold 9 and the foil 1 but also between the mold 10 and the foil 1. An air vent hole 11 is formed at the mold 9. Then, foamable plastic 12 is filled from an inlet 13, and a cover 14 is coated on the inlet 13. The plastic is foamed and swelled in the molds to elongate the foil 1 and to intimately contact the foil with the lower mold surface. At this time, air in the space between the lower mold and the foil is vented from the hole 11. In this manner, a projecting screen can be simply obtained.
