titleOfInvention | Polymerization of vinyl chloride |
abstract | PURPOSE: To prevent deposition of polymer scales on the wall of a polymerization apparatus for vinyl chloride effectively, by coating the wall with a specified reaction product between a phenolic compound and an aromatic aldehyde. n CONSTITUTION: As a scale deposition-preventing agent, there is used a reaction product, MW≥2,000, prepared by reacting a phenolic compound (e.g., pyrogallol, hydroxyhydroquinone) with an aromatic aldehyde (e.g., unsubstituted benzaldehyde) at a mol ratio of 1:0.5W10. Namely, in the (co)polymerization of vinyl chloride, scale deposition is prevented by applying the above reaction product to a polymerization apparatus (inner wall, surfaces of agitator blades, inner wall of a reflux condenser) at a rate of about 0.001W5g/m 2 . n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio |
