abstract PURPOSE: The titled emulsion that is made by adding a specific combination of xylene ands saturated hydrocarbon as a solvent to 2,2-dichlorovinyl dimethyl phosphate as an active ingredient, thus showing high quick-acting properties is a small amount of the surface active agent employed, causing no environmental pollution. n CONSTITUTION: 70W85, preferably 75W85wt% of 2,2-dichlorovinyl dimethyl phosphate is used as an active ingredient and it is mixed with a combination of xylene and a saturated hydrocarbon that is liquid at room temperature. The mixing ratio of xylene to saturated hydrocarbon is 90/10W50/50, preferably 80/20W60/40 by weight. The saturated hydrocarbon of liquid at room temperature is, e.g., pentane, iso-octane, cyclopentane or cyclohexane.
