titleOfInvention | N-substituted-bicyclo- 2.2.1 -hept-5-ene-2,3-dicarboximide derivative |
abstract | NEW MATERIAL:An N-substituted-bicyclo-[2.2.1]-hept-5-ene-2,3-dicarboximide derivative expressed by formula I (n is 4W6; the bond between the 5- and the 6- positions represents a double bond). n EXAMPLE: N-(1-Hydroxycyclopentylmethyl)-bicyclo-[2.2.1]-hept-5-ene-2,3-dicarboximide. n USE: A remedy for cholecystitis, cholangitis, cholecystolithiasis and bile duct dyskinesia having improved cholagogic action. n PROCESS: A bicyclo-[2.2.1]-hept-5-ene-2,3-dicarboxylic anhydride expressed by formula II is refluxed with 1-aminomethylcyclopentanol hydrochloride, etc. in the presence of an organic base, e.g. triethylamine, in an organic solvent for several hours under heating to give the compound expressed by formula I in which the bond between the 5- and the 6- positions is a double bond. The resultant compound is then reduced in the presence of a catalyst, e.g. Raney nickel, to afford the compound expressed by formula I in which the bond between the 5- and the 6- positions is a single bond. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio |
