titleOfInvention Curable composition
abstract PURPOSE: The titled composition useful for various coatings, curable at normal temperature, having improved water resistance, chemical resistance, adhesivity, and long pot life, comprising an aqueous solution of a specific vinyl polymer and an epoxy compound. n CONSTITUTION: Preferably 0.3W15wt% monomer (e.g., 2-phenyl-ethane, etc.) shown by the formula (R is H or CH 3 ; Q is ≤5C bifunctional hydrocarbon group) is copolymerized with a vinyl monomer (e.g., ethylene, etc.) copolymerizable with it in a copolymer to give a vinyl polymer. Preferably 0.5W40.0pts.wt. epoxy resin (e.g., epoxidized polybutadiene) based on 100pts.wt. solid substance of an aqueous solution of the prepared vinyl polymer, to give the desired composition. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
