PURPOSE: To obtain a temporary barrier layer with improved alkali permeability and temp. dependency by using a mixture of a lactone polymer represented by a specified general formula with a vinylidene chloride terpolymer represented by a specified general formula. n CONSTITUTION: A mixture of a lactone polymer having a structure represented by general formulaIas each repeating unit with a vinylidene chloride terpolymer represented by general formula II is used as the material of a temporary barrier layer used in combination with a neutralization layer as a timing layer in a color diffusion transfer method.
