abstract | PURPOSE: To provide an inexpensive vulcanizable composition having excellent mechanical properties and sufficiently high heat resistance, fitting to the energy- saving purpose, and suitable as a raw material of rubber belt, etc., by compounding an epoxy-containing acrylic rubber with a guanidine compound and sulfur. n CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. of an epoxy group-containing acrylic rubber, e.g. a copolymer of an alkyl acrylate and an epoxy group-containing compound (e.g. glycidyl acrylate), is kneaded with 0.5W10pts.wt. of a guanidine compound (e.g. diphenyl guanidine) and 0.1W5pts.wt. of sulfur. The vulcanization of the composition is preferably carried out at 140W170°C for 10W60min. The vulcanized product having excellent mechanical properties and heat resistance can be obtained by single-stage vulcanization without using post-vulcanization. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio |
