titleOfInvention Production of modified urea resin adhesive
abstract PURPOSE: An unemulsifiable compound having isocyanate groups is added alone to a water-soluble urea resin to produce the titled adhesive which gives particle boards with sufficient adhesion performance, even when the water content of chips is high and the heat compression time is short. n CONSTITUTION: An unemulsifiable compound having isocyanate groups, preferably methylene-bridged polyphenylpolyisocyanate such as diphenylmethane-diisocyanate is added alone to a water-soluble urea resin to give the objective adhesive. n EFFECT: The shelf life of the resultant adhesive is long and its operability is good. It gives particles boards and laminatings with high resistance to water and weathering. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
