titleOfInvention Modified polyester resin composition
abstract PURPOSE: To prepare a polytetramethylene terephthalate resin composition having excellent flexiblity and low molding shrinkage, by adding a specific amount of poly(2-methyl-1,3-propylene terephthalate) to the base resin. n CONSTITUTION: The objective resin composition is composed of a polytetramethylene terephthalate (PBT) resin and 0.1W25wt%, preferably 1W20wt% poly(2- methyl-1,3-propylene terephthalate). The resin composition can be prepared either by copolymerizing terephthalic acid with a mixed diol comprising tetramethylene glycol and 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol, or by blending a PBT resin with a polyester polymer derived from terephthalic acid and 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
