abstract PURPOSE: To provide the titled compsn. useful for the inhibition of noise generation due to vibration, by blending a powdered lead compd. having a specified specific gravity with a thermosetting resin or a vulcanizable liquid rubber. n CONSTITUTION: 200W1,300pts.wt. powdered lead compd. having a specific gravity of 5 or above such as lead monoxide and, if desired, a flame retarder, an antioxidant, a heat stabilizer, a colorant, etc. are blended with 100pts.wt. thermosetting resin such as 1,4-polybutadiene resin or vulcanizable liquid rubber such as functional group-terminated liquid chloroprene. n EFFECT: When this compsn. is used to fill limited air gaps and cured, a remarkable noise-inhibiting effect can be imparted. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
