abstract | PURPOSE: To prepare the titled flame-retardant resin having low impurity content, by copolymerizing a specific halogen-free polycarbonate oligomer and a halogen-containing polycarbonate oligomer in the presence of a caustic alkali. n CONSTITUTION: The objective resin is prepared by copolymerizing (A) 10W 85pts.wt. of a polycarbonate oligomer having a number-average molecular weight of 500W10,000, free of halogen or containing <4wt% halogen, and having terminal groups consisting of chloroformate groups and hydroxyl groups wherein the molar number of the hydroxyl group is smaller than that of the chloroformate group and (B) 90W15pts.wt. of a halogen-containing polycarbonate oligomer having a number-average molecular weight of 1,000W10,000, halogen-content of 6W30wt%, and having terminal groups consisting of chloroformate groups and hydroxyl groups wherein the molar number of the hydroxtl group is smaller than that of the chloroformate group, in a system free of bisphenol A, in the presence of a caustic alkali. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio |
