abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a polyester having improved impact resistance, by reacting an aromatic polyester obtaining terminal hydroxyl groups with an aliphatic diene type polymer containing a hydroxyl group and a bis-cyclic iminoester compound. n CONSTITUTION: (A) An aromatic polyester containing terminal hydroxyl groups is reacted with (B) 1W50wt% based on the component A of an aliphatic diene type polymer containing a hydroxyl group and (C) 0.01W10wt% bis-cyclic iminoetser compound shown by the formulaI[Y is a bivalent (hetero atom-containing) hydrocarbon; X is a bivalent hydrocarbon containing 1W2 ring-forming carbon atoms forming an iminoester ring, being unreactive under reaction conditions; l is 0 or 1], or by the formula II[A is a group shown by the formula III (R 2 is monofunctional hydrocarbon group), or by the formula IV; R is a tetravalent(hetero atom-containing) aromatic group; R 1 and R 2 are monofunctional hydrocarbon group], to give the desired polyester. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio |
