abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain carboxypeptidase Ar extremely useful for digesting protein, different from well-known carboxypeptidase with respect to the first-order structural formula of amino terminal groups, physical and chemical properties, and enzymic and chemical properties. n CONSTITUTION: The first-order structural formula of the amino terminal groups of the titled substance is shown by the formulaI. A molecular weight by gel filtration is 38,900, and it contains one Zn atom in a molecule. The composition amino acids are as shown in the tableI, a precipitation coefficient is 3.3, and an isoelectric point is 4.3 (a value at an ion strength of 0.3).
