abstract | PURPOSE: To prepare a herbicide composition having remarkable effect for the killing of annual or perennial weeds and miscellaneous bush, and the suppression of the recovery of the killed weeds, etc., by using SF-1293 substance and 1,1'- ethylene-2,2'-bipyridylium salt, etc. as active components. n CONSTITUTION: The objective composition contains as active components, (A) the SF-1293 substance of formula (M 1 and M 2 are H, alkali metal, alkaline earth metal, Cu, Zn, Ni, Mn, mono-, di- or tri-(lower alkyl)substituted ammonium, etc.; A is inorganic acid or organic acid; n is 0, 1/2, or 1) and its salt and (B) one or more compounds selected from 1,1'-ethylene-2,2'-bipyridylium salt, 1,1'-dimethyl- 4,4'-bipyridylium salt, 1-methyl-4-phenylpyridylium salt, etc. Addition of only an extremely small amount of the component (B), e.g. ≤1/100 of the practical dose, to the SF-1293 is sufficient to exhibit the effect. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio |
