titleOfInvention | Preparation of bissilylated xylene |
abstract | PURPOSE: To prepare the titled compound useful as a synthetic intermediate of other useful organic silicon compounds or polymers, in high yield, by reacting an α,α-dihaloxylene with a silicon-functional disilane compound in the presence of palladium-phosphine complex. n CONSTITUTION: The compound of formula III (Y is Cl or alkoxy; m is 0W2; n is 0W5) is prepared by reacting the compound of formulaI(X is Cl or Br) (e.g. α,α-dichloroxylene) with the compound of formula II (e.g. 1,1,2,2-tetramethyl-1,2-dichlorodisilane) in the presence of a palladium-phosphine complex [e.g. tetrakis-(triphenylphosphine)palladium]in a solvent such as toluene preferably at 80W170°C. The amount of the palladium-phosphine complex is preferably 0.001W0.1mol per 1mol of the compound of formulaI. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio |
