titleOfInvention | Antifouling agent |
abstract | PURPOSE: An antifouling agent that contains a combination of manganese ethylenebisdithiocarbamate and bis(tri-n-butyltin) oxide or tri-n-butyltin methacrylate polymer, thus sustaining effect against aqueous life for a long period of time. n CONSTITUTION: The objective antifouling agent contains, as active ingredients, (A) mangaenese ethylenebisthiocarbamate and (B) bis(tri-n-butyltin) oxide or tri- n-butyltin methacrylate polymer. The weight ratio of A/B is 40/60W95/5, preferably 6/4W9/1. The resultant antifouling agent is usually prepared into a paint or other coating solution. An antifouling paint is prepared by mixing the above active ingredient with pigments, extenders, vehicles and solvents so that their total amount becomes 5W60wt%, preferably 10W50wt% based on the whole paint. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio |
