titleOfInvention Polyester composition
abstract PURPOSE: The titled composition useful for molding, having improved crystallization rate, suppressing the decomposition and coloring of polymer, obtained by blending a polyester with an alkali metal chelate of acetylacetone. n CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. Polyester consisting of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid (preferably terephthalic acid) as a main acid component and an alkylene glycol (preferably ethylene glycol, etc.) as a main glycol component is blended with 0.1W 10pts.wt. alkali metal chelate of acetylacetone, preferably purified one having ≥50% light transmittance in 0.1wt% aqueous solution at 360mμ as a nucleating agent. The addition of the alkali metal chelate of acetylacetone in the latter half of the polycondensation reaction gives good results. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
