titleOfInvention Preparation of n-vinyl-substituted compound
abstract PURPOSE: To prepare the titled compound useful as pesticides, pharmaceuticals or their intermediates, in high catalytic yield, by reacting a specific nitrogen compound with an olefin compound in the presence of CO using a rhodium carbonyl complex as a catalyst. n CONSTITUTION: The objective compound of formula III (R 1 and R 2 are alkyl or aryl, or R 1 and R 2 together form group of formula II (R 3 and R 4 are H, halogen, etc.), etc.; R 9 is H or alkoxycarbonyl) can be prepared by reacting the nitrogen compound of formulaI(e.g. indole)with the olefin compound of formula CH 2 =CHR 9 (e.g. ethylene, acrylic acid esters, etc.) in the presence of CO at 150W 300°C for 2W10hr using rhodium carbonyl complex as the reaction catalyst. The preferable reaction pressure is usually 1W100kg/cm 2 . n EFFECT: The presence of CO has the effects of e.g. suppressing the decomposition of the rhodium carbonyl complex, and facilitates the proceeding of the reaction. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
