titleOfInvention Separating method of aqueous material from mixture of compound having perfluoroalkyl group
abstract PURPOSE: To separate an aqueous material from a mixture easily in a short time with a small loss, by adding a cationic surfactant to an emulsion mixture of a water-insoluble liquid compound containing a perfluoroalkyl group with water and a water-soluble substance. n CONSTITUTION: A cationic surfactant, e.g. a compound of formulaI(R 1 and R 2 are 1W18C alkyl, alkenyl or epoxyalkyl; X is Cl, Br, OH, etc.) or formula II (R 3 is 1W18C alkyl, alkenyl, etc.), or an aqueous solution thereof is added to a mixture of a water-insoluble liquid compound containing a perfluoroalkyl group[e.g. a compound of formula III (R f is 1W23C perfluoroalkyl group), etc.]with water and a water-soluble substance to separate the water and water- soluble substance. The loss of the compound containing the perfluoroalkyl group is very small, and water will be scarcely contained with almost no impurities included. The addition of the surfactant permits the distant separation of two layers capable of forming emulsions even on addition of water thereto. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
