titleOfInvention Varnish-resistant vinyl chloride resin composition
abstract PURPOSE: To provide the titled compsn. having excellent varnish resistance and useful as a wire coating material for the lead wire of motors, condensers, etc., by blending a chlorinated PE, a plasticizer and a flame retarder with a vinyl chloride resin. n CONSTITUTION: A varnish-resistant vinyl chloride resin compsn. is obtd. by blending 5W30pts.wt. chlorinated polyethylene (B) having a chlorination degree of 20W 50wt%, 30W150pts.wt. plasticizer (C) such as trioctyl trimellitate and 5W20pts.wt. frame retarder (D) such as 1,2-dibromo-3-chloropropane with 100pts.wt. vinyl chloride resin (A). By blending components A, B, C, and D together, flame retardance is imparted to said compsn. and varnish resistance is improved because a uniform film of resin B is formed on the surface of the compsn. When the compsn. is contacted with electrical insulating varnish, no cracks are formed. Thus, the compsn. is very useful as a wire coating material for the lead wire of motors, condensers, etc., said wire requiring varnish treatment. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
