NEW MATERIAL:A 3,4-dichlorophenoxypropionic acid anilide derivative shown by the formula (R is H, lower alkyl, methanesulfonyl, or benzenesulfonyl; X is lower alkyl, halogen, lower alkoxy, lower alkylthio, NO 2 , CF 3 , lower alkoxycarbonyl; n is 0W2). n EXAMPLE: 2-(3,4-Dichlorophenoxy)-3'-chloropropionanilide. n USE: A selective herbicide. Having improved herbicidal effects on broadleaft weeds and other weeds, providing no phytotoxicity to gramineous crops and other crops, having no toxicity to men and beasts and fishes and shellfishes, producing no offensive smell. n PROCESS: For example, 3-chloroaniline is reacted with 2-(3,4-dichlorophenoxy)propionly chloride in a solvent to give a compound shown by the formula such as 2- (3,4-dichlorophenoxy)-3'-chloropropionanilide, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio |
