titleOfInvention Dihydro ml-236b and dihydro mb-530b and derivative thereof
abstract NEW MATERIAL:Dihydro ML-236B and dihydro MB-530B expressed by formulaI(R 1 is H or methyl), metallic carboxylate thereof expressed by formula II (M is metallic element; n is valence), amino acid salt and amine salt of carboxylic acid thereof expressed by formula III (A is amino acid or organic amine) and carboxylic ester thereof expressed by formula IV (R 2 is alkyl, etc.). n USE: A remedy for hyperlipemia and preventing agent for arteriosclerosis. n PROCESS: ML-236B or MB-530B is dissolved in a solvent, e.g. methanol or ethanol, and then hydrogenated in the presence of a catalyst, e.g. palladium catalyst, to give the compound of formulaI. The compound of formula II is obtained by catalytically hydrogenating a metallic carboxylate of ML-236B or metallic carboxylate of MB-530B in the same way without advancing the reduction to further than the dihydro derivative. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
