titleOfInvention Sulfonium compound and its preparation
abstract NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formulaI(R is 3W8C branched alkylene; R is H, alkyl, alkenyl, etc.; R 1 and R 2 are alkyl, alkenyl, aralkyl, etc.; Y is inorganic acid residue or organic acid residue. n EXAMPLE: Dimethyl-1-methyl-2-phenoxyethylsulfonium tosylate. n USE: It promotes the immunity of living body, has antirheumatic and antiallergic activities, etc., and is useful as pharmaceuticals and pesticides. n PROCESS: The compound of formulaIcan be prepared by reacting the sulfide compound formula II with the compound of formula R 2 Y in a solvent (e.g. methanol) or in the absence of solvent at about -30W+150°C. The amount of the compound of formula R 2 Y is preferably about 1W4mol per 1mol of the sulfide compound of formula II. The reaction may be carried out optionally in a closed vessel. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
