titleOfInvention 4-halo-2-pentenamide derivative, its preparation and herbicide containing the same
abstract NEW MATERIAL:A 4-halo-2-pentenamide derivative expressed by formulaI(X 1 is Cl, F or I; R 1 is alkyl, alkenyl, etc.; Y is halogen, alkyl, alkoxyl, etc.; m and n are 0W2). n EXAMPLE: 4-Chloro-N-ethyl-N-(2-fluorobenzyl)-2-pentenamide. n USE: A herbicide, capable of exhibiting improved herbicidal activity against injurious weeds in paddy fields and plowed fields. n PROCESS: An 4-halo-2-pentenamide expressed by formula II (X 2 is halogen) is reacted with an amine expressed by formula III to give the compound expressed by formulaI. The reaction is carried out in the presence of an organic or inorganic base, e.g. NaOH or triethylamine, in an inert solvent, at -20W+100°C, preferably -5W+30°C, for 0.5W30hr, preferably 1W4hr. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
