abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the dispersant having excellent dispersing action in an oily system, as the dispersant for the oil system, by using a substance prepared by subjecting specific structural substances to addition polymerization in a specific ratio. n CONSTITUTION: To a starting substance having 2W8 active hydrozen groups in a molecule thereof, ethylene oxide is subjected to addition polimerization as well as a compound with MW of 1,000 or more shown by a formulaI(wherein R is a polyol residue, n is an integer of 2 or less and a is 2W8) and a compound shown by a formula II (wherein R' is a 6W40C alkyl group or benzene nuclear) such as styrene oxide are subjected to addition polymerization in a ratio of 1:1 or more to prepare the dispersant for the oily system.
