titleOfInvention Vinyl chloride resin composition
abstract PURPOSE: To provide a compsn. having excellent processability and durable lubricity, by blending a three-stage polymer as a processing aid with PVC, said polymer being obtd. by polymerizing a monomer mixture of an alkyl acrylate and an alkyl methacrylate in the presence of a methyl methacrylate (co)polymer, and then polymerizing methyl methacrylate in the presence of the resulting polymer. n CONSTITUTION: 40W70wt% monomer mixture (B) consisting of 100W30wt% 1W18C alkyl acrylate and 70W0wt% 1W18C alkyl methacrylate is polymerized in the presence of 5W45wt% (co)polymer (A) under such as a condition that ηsp/C of the polymer of component B becomes 1 or below, said component A containing at least 5wt% methyl methacrylate (MMA) and having ηsp/C of 2 or below as measured at 25°C in a soln. of 0.1g of the polymer dissolved in 100ml of CHCl 3 . Then 5W40wt% monomer composed of at least 50wt% MMA is polymerized in the presence of the polymer obtd. from components A and B to produce a three-stage polymer. 0.05W10pts.wt. said three-stage polymer is blended with 99.95W90pts.wt. (co)polymer composed of at least 80wt% vinyl chloride to obtain the desired compsn. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
