abstract | NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formulaI(R 1 is 8W26C aliphatic hydrocarbon residue; R 2 WR 4 are H, lower alkyl, or cyclic ammonio group; n is an integer 1W15) and a salt thereof. n EXAMPLE: 3,6,9,12,15-Pentaoxaheptacosyl 2-bromoethyl phosphate. n USE: A medicine, having the growth inhibitory action on tumorous cells and differentiation inducing action (cancer removing) action, capable of exhibiting improved effects on leukemia, solid cancers, etc. as an antitumor agent, and useful as an antifungal agent. n PROCESS: A compound expressed by formula II is reacted with a compound expressed by formula III (X and Y are halogen) to give a compound expressed by formula IV, which is then reacted with water to afford a compound of formula V.
