titleOfInvention Preparation of sulfuric half ester compound
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound useful as a reactive dye, etc. in high yield in high purity, by esterifying a β-hydroxyethyl-sulfonyl group-containing compound in a water-insoluble organic solvent in the presence of both a primary amine and an agent to convert into a sulfuric ester. n CONSTITUTION: A compound[e.g., sodium 1-amino-4-(3-β-hydroxyethylsulfonyl) anilino-anthraquinone-2-sulfonate, etc.]containing β-hydroxyethyl-sulfonyl group shown by the formula -SO 2 CH 2 CH 2 OH is esterified in a water-insoluble organic solvent such as xylene, etc. in the presence of both a primary amine (e.g., acetylamine, etc.) shown by the formula R-NH 2 (R is ≥6C aliphatic, aromatic, or aromatic aliphatic group) and an agent to convert into a sulfuric ester (e.g., conc. sulfuric acid, etc.), to give a sulfuric half ester compound shown by the formula containing a group shown by the formula -SO 2 CH 2 CH 2 OSO 3 M (M is H or alkali metal). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
