titleOfInvention Separation of nitroaniline isomer
abstract PURPOSE: To separate the titled compound safely, easily, in high purity, by the fractional distillation of a mixed nitroaniline under specific conditions. n CONSTITUTION: To obtain the high-quality objective compound which comprises either o-isomer or p-isomer each having a purity of ≥99.9%, by the fractional distillation of a mixed nitroaniline at ≤250°C under pressure of ≤50mmHg. The specific volatility of o- and p-nitroaniline is much greater than the value estimated from the vapor pressure data of each compound. The isomer is sufficiently stable at ≤250°C. n EFFECT: The operation is easy and the purification loss is small. It can be applied in an industrial scale. The mixed nitroaniline may contain an arbitrary amount of nitrochlorobenzene. The thermal degradation, decomposition and explosion of nitroaniline can be prevented. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
