abstract PURPOSE: A rubber composition capable of being directly bonded to a metal through vulcanization, having high bond strength and improved environmental stability, obtained by blending a mixed rubber of natural rubber, isoprene rubber and solution polymerization rubber with a specific component capable of forming a tridimensional phenolic resin. n CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. ruber comprising 20W80wt% natural rubber,iroprene rubber, or the blend of these rubber, and 80W20wt% solution polymerization rubber (e.g., styene-butadiene rubber, etc.) is blended with 1W30pts.wt. component{consisting of phenols[e.g., (alkyl)resorcinol, etc.]as the first component and the second component ( e.g., hexamethylenetetramine, etc.]acting as a curing agent}, capable of forming a tridimensional phenolic resin in vulcanization, to give the desired composition. If necessary, 0.2W10pts.wt. calculated as metal of oxide, salt, etc. of Pb, or Co and 0.2W5pts.wt. organotin compound, organosilane compound are added to the composition. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
