titleOfInvention Porous modified sepiolite catalyst
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a carrier of much improved porosity by using the porous modified sepiolite prepd. by modifying natural sepiolite chemically, as a catalyst for hydrogenation treatments. n CONSTITUTION: Natural sepiolite is modified by chemical means, and the skeleton magnesium of the natural sepiolite is desorbed, whereby the powdery or molded porous modified sepiolite wherein the molar ratio SiO 2 /MgO is increased by ≥2 is obtained. With this porous modified sepiolite as a carrier, an active catalyst metal for hydrogenation is deposited thereon, whereby the porous modified sepiolite catalyst for hydrogenation treatment is obtained. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
