titleOfInvention Preparation of regenerated cellulose film with selective permeability
abstract PURPOSE: To form the regenerated cellulose film with improved selective permeability by a method wherein two kinds of plasticizers having different solubilities are added to cellulose triacetate and, after the obtained mixture is melted and formed into a film, the resulting film is saponified. n CONSTITUTION: In 100pts.wt. cellulose triacetate with 60% acetylation degree, 40pts.wt. fluforane as a good solvent plasticizer and 20pts.wt. polyethylene glycol as a poor solvent plasticizer are mixed. The resulting mixed solution is held between ferrotype plates and melted and formed into a film at 240°C under pressure to obtain the flat film with 65μ thickness. The obtained film is immersed in 3.0% NaOH aqueous solution for 3min at 30°C to be saponified and, thereafter, sufficiently washed by water. The obtained regenerated cellulose film has physical properties such that a film thickness is 54 μm, permeation velocity of pure water is 2.3ml/m 2 .hr.mmHg, strength is 1.08kg/mm 2 , elongation is 88% while Young's modulus is 2.23kg/mm 2 . n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
